Mustangs Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Billings Mustangs topped the Bronx Bombers, 9-8, at Cobb Field. Billings center fielder David Ramírez earned player of the game honors. He banged out 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. Billings reliever John Otten was the winner. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Ewan Pethick. The Mustangs bumped their record to 22-12 with this latest triumph.

Billings won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Ewan Pethick on the mound for Bronx, pinch hitter Tony Ramirez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Mustangs fans to their feet.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Ramírez, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
