Jacobs Hits 2 home runs in Banditos Win
|
Coy Jacobs made an impact in the 7-5 Acapulco win over Scranton. Jacobs slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Acapulco reliever Aubert Licci got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Máximo Larreta was tagged with the loss. The Banditos, now at 17-18, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
Jacobs had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 cutter from Máximo Larreta, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Banditos a 7-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Jacobs.
"Feels good to get the job done," Jacobs said after the game.
