Vancouver and Canton got after it at Mckinley Park.

The Vancouver Canadians got a stellar performance from pitcher Wilson Polk, who handcuffed the Canton offense en route to a 12-1 win at Mckinley Park. The winning pitcher was Polk, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3.

Steve Osburn, who is tied for 9th in the NAL with a .424 on-base percentage, helped out the Vancouver cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Canadians manager Arinori Nakamura.
