The Minneapolis Freeze picked up a win at The Firepit, knocking off the Joplin Fireballs, 3-1. Starting pitcher Yaichiro Tamura was an essential part of his team's success. Rodolfo Reyes locked down his 2nd save. The Freeze bumped their record to 20-13 with this latest triumph.
Wang Huang, who is rated as the 34th best prospect by BNN, aided the Minneapolis cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 4 with a triple.
In postgame comments to the Minneapolis News, Huang said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
