Banditos Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Anchorage Municipal Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Acapulco Banditos and the Omaha Raptors.
Benefiting from Rhett Cawse's productive game, the Acapulco Banditos downed the Omaha Raptors, 6-5. Cawse went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Banditos. Acapulco reliever Curtis Cahill picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jason Engel shouldered the loss.
Cawse had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Jason Engel, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Banditos a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Cawse.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Salvador López, the Acapulco manager.
The Raptors fall to 12-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2033 season.
