The Fairfield Flash got a strong performance from pitcher Gabriel Bernard, who stymied the Peoria offense en route to a 4-0 win at Excavatar Park. Bernard got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Bernard allowed no earned runs. The Caterpillars fall to 13-15 and continue their wobbly start to the 2033 season.

The Flash got a big at-bat from second baseman Susumu Kono. For the game, Kono was 1-4. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 34th hit of the season gave Fairfield a 1-0 lead.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Peoria manager Roberto Martínez.
