Sasaki Hits 2 home runs in Escape Win
|
The Scranton Escape saddled the Antioch Coal Miners with a loss at The Coal Mine. The final score was 6-3. Mitsuo Sasaki, named player of the game, was 3 for 3, including 1 single and 2 home runs. The Scranton first baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Coal Miners fall to 11-18 and continue their lackluster start to the 2033 season.
Sasaki had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Adam Pitkeathy, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Escape a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Sasaki.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Sasaki told the Scranton Chronicle.
