Loss to Raptors Extends Acapulco Losing Streak
|
Omaha beat Acapulco at Anchorage Municipal Stadium, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder José Salas, who earned player of the game honors. Jason Engel earned the save for Omaha, his 5th of the year. The Banditos fall to 11-17 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Shoji Ando, who leads the DKL in triples with 2, chipped in for Omaha with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ando told the Omaha Bulletin.
