The Fairfield Flash faced a tough opponent in Reno pitcher Almas bin Su'ud, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Durham Bulls Athletic Park by a final score of 4-3. bin Su'ud went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. At 18-8, the Flash have played well so far.

Ernie Horswill was the walk-off hero for Fairfield. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Flash catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Horswill. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
