The Antioch Coal Miners topped the Albuquerque Cacti, 10-6, in Darryl Kile League action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The player of the game was Antioch third baseman Ichizo Hamada. Things have gone south in a hurry for the defending champion Coal Miners, who notched only their 10th win in 26 games.

Roberto Torres helped out the Antioch cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the pinch hitter drew 1 walk.

"It was a solid team effort," said Torres after the game.
