The Detroit Death Stars dealt the Astoria Argonauts a 11-9 loss at Golden Fleece Park. Tony Martinez was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Hervé Muller got credit for the save for Detroit. It was his 3rd of the year. The Argonauts fall to 11-13 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.

Martinez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Rhys Ballard, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Death Stars a 11-9 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Martinez.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Martinez, "but we got it done."
