Albuquerque center fielder Francisco Germán was instrumental in his team's 10-4 win over the Scranton Escape. Germán went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cacti. Willie Fierro picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Guo-quiang Zhào was tagged with the loss. The save went to Juan Vazquez, his 1st this season.
Joe Severns hit a bases-clearing double off Guo-quiang Zhào in the bottom of the third, which put the Cacti in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Severns had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"We'll savor this win," Severns told the Albuquerque Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
The Escape drop to 11-11 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2033 season.
