Marauders Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Marauders faced a stiff challenge from Oklahoma City pitcher Manuel Crespo, but persevered to claim a win at Memorial Circle Park. The final score was 4-3. Crespo went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Marcos León recorded his 5th save for Maple. The win brings the Marauders to 16-3, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Maple used the bat of Angel Barajas to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Marauders ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Barajas.
