Victory Pushes Escape Record to 10-9
|
Scranton and Fort Worth duked it out at Hell Stadium and the Escape came out victorious.
Fort Worth got a terrific game from designated hitter Ken Paul. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Scranton, 6-5. Paul was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Máximo Larreta, his 1st.
Jesus Chavez swatted a solo home run for Scranton in the bottom of the sixth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Chavez told the Scranton Chronicle.
The Cats fall to 8-11 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
