Phantoms Lose, 4-1, at Underdogs Ballpark
|
Pitcher Fred Campbell was sensational for the Acapulco Banditos in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Coronado Phantoms. Campbell received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Campbell, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. The save was credited to Jim Unknown, his 1st.
Phil Mouland aided the Acapulco cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder was 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Mouland called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The Phantoms, now 6-12, continue their poor start.
