Roethlisberger hits 2 home runs, Bombers Move to 15-2
|
Glenn Roethlisberger made an impact in the 12-6 Bronx win over Minneapolis. Roethlisberger, who is tied for 7th in the DKL in RBI with 15, belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Alejandro Sánchez was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and no strikeouts. Tom Pick earned the save, his 1st.
Bronx grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Roethlisberger, who is tied for 6th in the DKL with a .691 slugging percentage, hit a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Bombers out in front, 6-4.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Roethlisberger. "And not try to do too much."
The Bombers, now 15-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
