Bombers Stay Hot, Beat Freeze

Bronx and Minneapolis duked it out at Bronx Ballpark and the Bombers came out victorious.
Minneapolis catcher Dae-ki Yi had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-5, to Bronx at Bronx Ballpark. Yi was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bronx reliever Gustavo Ortega picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Jorge Olivo was collared with the loss. Ewan Pethick finished to wrap up his 9th save.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Yoshitoki Kitamura. For the game, Kitamura was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 15th hit of the season gave Bronx a 4-3 lead.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Bronx manager Weston Papenfuss.
Bronx goes to 14-2 with the win.
