Scranton pitcher Rino Nitisastro did his part in helping his team beat the Canton Paczkis, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Nitisastro surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The save was Javier Colón's, his 7th.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when center fielder Jesus Chavez drew a walk. The Escape went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Nitisastro said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
