Riding the 3-hit performance of the 33-year old left fielder Coy Jacobs, the Acapulco Banditos stopped the Coronado Phantoms, 15-2. The Phantoms, now 6-10, continue their poor start.
The Banditos got a big at-bat from center fielder Luis Morales. For the game, Morales was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 12th hit of the season gave Acapulco a 2-1 lead.
"The score speaks for itself," said losing manager Jeffrey Graham. "It was embarrassing."
