Baristas Prevail, 7-5, Over Fairfield
|
With left fielder Paul Harris leading the charge, the Silver Lake Baristas defeated the Fairfield Flash, 7-5, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Harris was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Silver Lake reliever Van Perry picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Yeong-suk Kim was collared with the loss. The Baristas, with just their 4th win so far in 2033, have yet to catch fire.
Harris had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Baristas went on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Harris. "And not try to do too much."
