Chicago starter Noritoshi Sato pitched effectively against the Scranton Escape at Hell Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Chicago reliever Jian-cheng Wang picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Kyuso Kimura was collared with the loss. The Escape drop to 7-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2033 season.

Had Michael Pickersgill not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Pickersgill hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Titans.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Sato said.
