The Detroit Death Stars and Pasadena Bumblebees cranked it up at The Death Star.

Angelo Maire was instrumental in his team's 9-4 triumph over the Detroit Death Stars. The third baseman hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Pasadena Bumblebees. Jerry Kennedy, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 2-1.

Maire contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Pasadena in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Maire took a fastball from Steve Ferguson and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Bumblebees to leap in front, 4-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Maire told the Pasadena Daily News.

The Death Stars drop to 5-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2033 season.
