Banditos Walk It Off for 4th Win of Season
|
Starting pitcher Jason Walker pitched well enough to help the Acapulco Banditos beat the Fairfield Flash by the score of 5-4. The Banditos are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 10 games.
The Banditos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when second baseman Tomiji Kohara turned a 0-2 cutter from Benjamin Stevenson into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Acapulco a thrilling 5-4 win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Kohara told reporters after the game.
