Scranton rode a good effort from starter Guo-quiang Zhào to beat the Silver Lake Baristas at Ashton Gate. The final score was 3-2. Zhào went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-0. Earning his 4th save of the year was Javier Colón.

The Escape got a big at-bat from catcher Mitsuo Sasaki. For the game, Sasaki went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Scranton a 2-0 lead.

"Both teams played hard," said Scranton manager Julián Cancil.
