Bronx Hot Streak Continues with 6-4 Win
|
Despite a great performance by Antioch center fielder Jorge Sandoval, the Bronx Bombers defeated the Coal Miners by the score of 6-4 at Bronx Ballpark. Sandoval went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Bronx is off to a hot start at 7-1.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from right fielder Glenn Roethlisberger. For the game, Roethlisberger went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Bronx a 5-3 lead.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Roethlisberger.
