The Scranton Escape defeated the Acapulco Banditos, 7-6, at Hell Stadium today. Leading the charge for Scranton was first baseman Jeremy Bassett. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. Scranton reliever Wilson Rivas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Aubert Licci took the loss. The Escape, now 3-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Scranton took a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, pinch hitter Alejandro Hernández hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We found a way to get it done," Bassett said.
