Crowds lined up early in front of Cobb Field, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2033 TRIPLE A season. On the mound was Carl Cozens for the visiting Bronx Bombers and Masazumi Ohayashi for the hometown Billings Mustangs. In a spirited contest, the Mustangs pulled out the win, defeating the Bombers by the score of 2-1. Earning player of the game honors was Masazumi Ohayashi.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from second baseman Tony Ramirez. For the game, Ramirez was 1-4 with a walk. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Billings a 2-1 lead.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Ramirez.
