Racers Get Road Win, 5-3
|
The Silver Lake Baristas opened their 2033 season with a disappointing 5-3 loss to the Bowling Green Racers at Ashton Gate. Center Fielder Juan López was a big part of the win for Bowling Green. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Bowling Green reliever David Lidstone picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Douggie Pitchford was saddled with the loss.
Orrin Martell aided the Bowling Green cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a double.
"We did enough to win," said Martell.
