Victory Over Bombers Takes Maple to 121-41
|
The South Carolina Bombers and Maple Marauders brought some excitement to Bomber Ballpark.
The Maple Marauders downed the South Carolina Bombers, 8-0, at Bomber Ballpark. Ángel Vázquez led the way, going 1-for-3 for Maple. The win was Roger Rogers's in relief. His record improves to 8-1. Beau Miller took the loss for South Carolina.
Conor Borlase hit a run-scoring double off Beau Miller in the top of the first, which put the Marauders in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Borlase had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
"This was a good win for us," said Borlase. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The first-place Marauders, at 121-41, now lead their division by 20 games.
