|
Antonio Roman made an impact in the 5-4 Hawaii win over Columbus. Roman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Bernalldo Rocchi converted his 41st save in 46 tries. The Islanders bumped their record to 97-60 with this latest triumph.
Roman had a game-changing single in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 knuckleball from Amaui Mahi'ai, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Islanders a 5-4 lead. It was the 24th hit of the year for Roman.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Roman told the Hawaii News.
