Mile High pitcher Rintaro Shinoda did his part in helping his team beat the Eureka Hornets, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Shinoda surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. The Mustangs bumped their record to 90-65 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from center fielder Héctor Lara. For the game, Lara went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 37th home run of the season gave Mile High a 1-0 lead.
Lara called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
