Stogies Turn Back So Cal, 3-1
|
The Havana Stogies defeated the So Cal Republic, 3-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Humidor, with Havana pitcher Joe Hardy named player of the game. Earning his 7th save of the year was Abdul Razzaq Kharoti. Havana, now 11-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Stogies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Shi-kai Tsu. For the game, Tsu went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Havana a 2-1 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Tsu said after the game.
