Aces Lose to Mafia, 5-3
|
New York left-hander Lorenzo Soto made an effective start against the Columbus Aces at Don Corleone Park, leading his team to a 5-3 win. The losing streak for Columbus has now reached 4 games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when first baseman Lance Adams, who is rated as the 36th best prospect by BNN, drew a walk. The Mafia went on to win.
"Enjoyed this one," Adams told the New York Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
