Eureka and Mile High duked it out at The Nest and the Hornets came out victorious.

Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Juan Mora, the Mile High Mustangs suffered a 5-4 loss to the Eureka Hornets. Mora was 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. Alim bin Umar was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 14 save opportunities.

The Hornets got a big at-bat from first baseman Don Buller. For the game, Buller was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 26th double of the season gave Eureka a 5-4 lead.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Mile High manager Dave Callahan. "The effort was great."

Eureka is now riding a 3-game win streak.
