The New York Mafia got a rain-soaked win over the Hawaii Islanders at Don Corleone Park.

The Hawaii Islanders wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter David Guzman, falling 2-1 to the New York Mafia at Don Corleone Park. New York reliever Jun'ichi Suzuki picked up the win, upping his record to 8-6. Cristoforo Giugino was saddled with the loss.

Donald Buchanan was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mafia catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We take it day by day here," said Buchanan, "and today was a good one for us."

Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 50-103 record.
