Sato Slugs Beavers to 5-3 Win
Teruo Sato left his imprint on the 5-3 Portland win against the So Cal Republic. Sato, who is a three-time All-Star, belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Olivier Martin converted his 37th save in 43 tries. The Beavers now have a record of 72-79 with the win over So Cal.

Sato had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-0 fastball from Jin-woo Pi, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Beavers a 5-3 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Sato.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Sato.
