The Portland Beavers got a superb performance from center fielder Armando Ramos, but the So Cal Republic still won the game, 6-5. Ramos was named the player of the game despite the loss. Had Drake Ramsey not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ramsey hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Republic.
