The Quebec Armada defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 6-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Field de Los Layendas, with Quebec pitcher Mitsuo Kobayashi named player of the game. Kobayashi went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 11-14. Joachim Doucet earned his 36th save in 40 chances.

Had Ennio Duccio not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Duccio hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Armada.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Duccio told the Quebec Herald.

The first-place Armada, at 91-57, now lead their division by 6˝ games.
