Marauders Prevail, 4-2, Over Kansas City
|
2033 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Kansas City Tornadoes.
Maple Marauders starter Khurshid Durrani was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Kansas City Tornadoes, 4-2. Durrani, now 13-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs.
Andreas Kubel, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in stolen bases with 62, aided the Maple cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.
The first-place Marauders, at 109-37, now lead their division by 18˝ games.
