Beavers Prevail, 3-2, Over New York
|
Portland Beavers starter Peter McColgan was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York Mafia, 3-2. Portland now has a 3-game win streak.
Portland used the timely hitting of Luke Riviere to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Beavers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said New York manager Dave Maloney. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
