Masayoshi Sai did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Brooklyn Black Knights from losing, 6-4, to the Rubber City Rhinos at The Rubber Grounds. Sai belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Shinzo Sasaki converted his 47th save in 55 tries. The Rhinos have an impressive 93-53 record.
Rubber City catcher Run-ming Wu delivered a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Rubber City manager Larry Johnson.
