Earthquakes Lose, 4-3, at Aloha Stadium
|
It was a good time at Aloha Stadium, where fans came to watch the San Francisco Earthquakes and Hawaii Islanders get after it.
The Hawaii Islanders eked out a 4-3 win versus the San Francisco Earthquakes at Aloha Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Rodrigo Garza, who captured player of the game honors. Hawaii reliever Jack Watson picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Noriyuki Ikeda took the loss. Bernalldo Rocchi, credited with the save, is now 37 for 42 in save opportunities.
Zane Mogeni, who leads the RCL in stolen bases with 104, aided the Hawaii cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"I liked his command," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray. "Rodrigo was throwing strikes."
Hawaii has now won 4 straight.
