Zamora Helps Marauders Run Win Streak to 8
|
Getting a good performance from third baseman Jorge Zamora, the Maple Marauders defeated the Jacksonville Jacks, 6-3. Zamora went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Marauders. Hariz Sahir earned his 16th save in 18 chances. The first-place Marauders now have a 8-game winning streak.
Anthony Cadenhead, who is tied for 7th in the TML in bases on balls with 73, aided the Maple cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Jesús Alfaro.
