Mafia Jolt Bombers with Late Rally

The New York Mafia racked up a win at Don Corleone Park, bumping off the South Carolina Bombers, 4-3. Juan Mendoza, who started for New York, pitched effectively for his team. Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 48-97 record.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Bill Grant, hit a single. It helped New York seize the win.
"This place was rockin'," Grant said.
