Aces Beat Tornadoes in 10
|
The Columbus Aces wiggled past the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-5, at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Columbus left fielder Greg Holder earned player of the game honors. The Aces improved to 54-88.
Holder had a game-changing single in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-1 cutter from Norberto Barrón, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Aces a 6-5 lead. It was the 52nd hit of the year for Holder.
Holder said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
