Victory Over Earthquakes Takes Hawaii to 88-54
|
Hawaii used a superb performance from starting pitcher David Guzman to down the San Francisco Earthquakes, 3-0. Guzman, the winner, moves to 15-8. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk. The Islanders have an impressive 88-54 record.
Zane Mogeni, the two overall pick in the 2028 draft, helped out the Hawaii cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Guzman.
