Nimbalkar Sensational for Hornets
|
The Eureka Hornets got a magnificent effort from pitcher Prabodh Nimbalkar, who kept Portland hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Hornets win at Waterfront Park. Eureka is now 70-73.
Nimbalkar, who dominated for Eureka, earned the victory to move to 10-9. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 10. Portland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We played hard and won," said Nimbalkar. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
