Stogies Beat Blazers in 10
|
The Stogies grabbed a win, 3-2, at The Humidor, overcoming a fine effort from Bloomington pitcher Oliver Romero. Romero went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Havana has an impressive 101-43 record.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Havana right fielder Jesús Velásquez, facing Paco Berroa, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Stogies the 3-2 win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Bloomington skipper Javier Ramírez, "and it cost us."
