The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements at Central Park Downtown Stadium enjoyed themselves.
Aces designated hitter Doug White put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the New York Mafia. White was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Columbus in the contest. Earning his 2nd save for Columbus was Amaui Mahi'ai.
White contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Columbus in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 3-1, White took a fastball from Nobuhito Suzuki and stroked the home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Aces to leap in front, 4-3.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," White said after the game.
Columbus, at 2-0, has sizzled in the early going.
