Aces Stay Hot, Beat Prowlers

Columbus and Oklahoma City duked it out at Memorial Circle Park and the Aces came out victorious.
Columbus used a superb performance from starting pitcher Aurelien Bonello to down the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Bonello, now 3-11. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Robert McLaughlin converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.
Early in the game, second baseman Joaquín Rodríguez had a run-scoring single for Columbus. It was his 145th hit of the season and put the Aces on top, 1-0.
"Aurelien's tempo and rhythm were good," said Aces manager Chris Schell. "He was the key to us winning."
The Prowlers, at 69-74, have lost 7 straight games.
